Who are Better Events? The 2023 reboot!
Last year we introduced our team in this article, but there have been some ch-ch-ch-changes to update you on!
Better Events was launched in May 2022 as a not-for-profit platform to give small, local traders an affordable and supportive place to trade. We are fierce LGBTQAA+ allies, a female-positive business leader with two women directors, and an avid supporter of refugees, under-30 traders and those with disabilities, hidden or otherwise. We work with numerous local charities and organisations including The Princes Trust, ACH and the Black South West Network to open up markets to marginalised groups, support Bristol-based small businesses, and to make sure we are operating ethical, sustainable and environment-positive events.
The 2023 team
We were super sad to say goodbye to power-couple Bianca and Mike, who are creating a new life for themselves in the North, and to comms angel Kavita, who has headed deeper into the South West. But we remain committed to working with local people, honing local talent, and paying a fair wage.
